SeKIII

The SeKIII is the essential machine in the Welltec range — servo-driven energy saving without the extras that a straightforward moulding job does not need. Ten models cover 90 to 660 tons, and the series was fully upgraded in its current release.

The upgrade concentrated on the parts that wear and the parts that affect part quality. A high-strength clamping structure reduces frame deformation, the toggle mechanism was reworked for smoother and more precise mould open and close, and the platens were redesigned to reduce stress concentration. T-slot platens and gear-driven mould adjustment are standard across the whole series — worth noting, because both are things moulders often discover they wanted only after they have lived without them. A new sliding design keeps the moving platen stable over a long service life.

The injection unit is the next-generation double-layer design in a compact structure, with an optimised carriage and a number of ergonomic changes that make routine screw and barrel maintenance faster.

Control is a 10” TFT colour touchscreen with nine master function panels, precision control algorithms and fully closed-loop control of mould open/close, injection, plasticising and ejection.

Where it fits: the workhorse choice for everyday production — crates, caps and closures, houseware, electrical accessories, general technical parts. If your process window is comfortable and you do not need the last few percent of speed, this is the machine that gives you the best return per rupee.
