The Se5+ is the newest and most capable machine in Welltec’s servo hydraulic range. It takes the proven SEIII platform and adds electric plasticising as standard equipment, which is the single change that most affects output: the screw recovers while the mould is opening and the part is being taken out, so the dry cycle shortens rather than the plasticising time being added to it.
Across the range, machine speed is up by 15–25% and whole-machine energy consumption is down by around 20% against the previous generation. Plasticising capacity rises by 20–45%. The hydraulic pipeline has been redesigned to reduce energy loss, which also keeps oil temperature down and cuts cooling water demand — a real consideration in Pakistani summer conditions.
Control is by the KEBA system on a 10.4” or 12” touch screen, with closed-loop adaptive control, dynamic PID auto-tuning that holds barrel temperature within ±0.5 °C, storage for more than 1,000 mould parameter sets with USB backup, and an oscilloscope function that overlays mould open/close, injection and plasticising curves alongside SPC statistics.
Where it fits: high-output production where cycle time and energy cost both matter — housewares, thin-walled containers, automotive components, technical mouldings and any job running multiple shifts where a one-second cycle saving compounds into real money.
