The JSeIII is the largest machine Welltec builds — twelve models from 1,000 to 4,500 tons, with shot weights reaching 62 kg of polystyrene. It is the machine for parts that simply cannot be made on a toggle machine.
Clamping uses six cylinders in a direct clamping structure, with mould open/close and high-pressure clamping handled by two separate groups of mechanical structures so that motion stability is not compromised by clamping load. The six cylinders are arranged hexagonally behind the moving platen and act directly on the mould mounting surface, which spreads the load where the mould actually needs it and measurably reduces mould deformation and defect rates. Tie-bar locking nuts are linked by connecting rods so they move in synchrony, with a buffering mechanism that gives fast locking with low noise and zero shock.
The injection side is modular — clamping units and injection units can be mixed and matched, which means a very wide range of shot weights can be covered without a bespoke build, and lead time stays short. A double-cylinder carriage with barrel support prevents the vertical droop that plagues long barrels at this size, and the injection unit swivels for screw and barrel maintenance.
Control is the KEBA system on a 15” TFT touch screen, with closed-loop adaptive control and storage for over 1,000 mould parameter sets.
Where it fits: the biggest parts you can mould — automotive bumpers and instrument panels, industrial pallets and bulk containers, large chairs and furniture, water tanks and appliance housings.
