Machines built around one resin or one process — PVC, PET preforms and thin-wall packaging.
A general-purpose machine will run most resins, but some jobs punish it. PVC is corrosive and shear-sensitive. PET preforms demand enormous plasticising capacity and low acetaldehyde. Thin-wall packaging needs injection speeds a standard machine cannot reach.
Welltec’s special series are re-engineered for those jobs rather than adapted to them — different screw geometry and materials, different barrel heating and cooling, different hydraulics and different control strategies. If your production is dominated by one of these three applications, the special machine will normally beat a general-purpose machine on cycle time, part quality and running cost by a wide margin.
